CND Vinylux Flirtation Collection - Summer 2016

CND Vinylux Contradictions

My Favourite Winter Nail Polishes 2014
Since Christmas is just around the corner, I wanted to share with you my HG wintery nail polish shades! If you don't know already I absolutely love dark reds and in general vampy shades on my nails, these are the shades that I tend to reach for again and again when it's winter. Unfortunately some of these shades were limited edition and very hard to find anymore, but I'm sure that you can find similar ones anywhere, from drugstore to salon brands.
Essie Lacy Not Racy
Essie is my favourite brand when it comes to red nail polishes, they know what they're doing! Lacy Not Racy is such a classic red, a vampy-deep red shade with a jelly finish, perfect for those who want their red nails look super glossy, like me.
Essie Wicked
One of Essie's most popular shade, a dark burgundy wine color that it almost look black. This one has also a very glossy finish, something that Essie is known for. If you love vampy shades then this one should definitely be in your collection.
Loreal Collection Exclusive Laetitia
From all the reds in the Loreal's Collection Exclusive Pure Reds this one is by far my favourite! Laetitia is a dark/vampy berry red shade with very fine glitters. You don't find often these kind of shades in the drugstore, I'm happy that Loreal makes one.
China Glaze Ruby Pumps
I saved the festive one for last since it's Christmas in just two days. Ruby Pumps is such a cult shade, a sparkly red with red microglitter and jelly finish, in my opinion the perfect red for Christmas time! Just a hint: in the sunlight it looks super sparkly!
Which are your favourite colors for winter/Christmas?
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and we will talk again in the New Year!

Top Summer Nail Polishes.
Two years ago I wrote three different posts about my favorite summer blushes, lipsticks and lipglosses but I never wrote one about my favorite summer polishes. I realised that haven't done a "nail polish" related post in like ages, in fact my very first blog post was about my favorite winter nail polishes so I think it was about time to talk you about my top five, and of course hottest, summer nail polishes! I really like bright shades on my nails, so every summer I love painting my nails with beautiful corals and peaches and of course neon shades, what can I say, I just love my neons!
It was hard for me to choose only 5 since I have so many similar shades but I chose the ones that I've used the most and I'm sure these are some shades that everyone loves to use at summertime!
ChG Flip Flop Fantasy, Model's Own Pink Punch, Nails inc. Notting Hill Gate, Korres Flamingo Pink, OPI Cajun Shrimp
China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy
A very beautiful super neon coral-pink shade, in my opinion the hottest pedicure shade for the summer. The only problem I have with this one is the texture, it has a very thick and streaky formula but I can put up with it because of its amazing shade.
Model's Own Pink Punch
This is the only Model's Own polish that I own and of course it had to be a neon one, it's a bright warm pink shade with a hint of coral-orange, it has a runny formula that never streaks which I prefer.
Nails inc. Notting Hill Gate
One of the few cool toned neon pinks that I own, it's really beautiful, not super bright as the other two that I mentioned before but still quite noticable.
Korres Flamingo Pink
This is by far the most beautiful orangey-coral shade I own that it's not neon, it's a nice alternative for those who like bright and vivid shades but don't want the bright neon that glows in your face.
OPI Cajun Shrimp
I saved the more classy one for last, this was actually the first OPI nail polish that I've bought years ago and it's still as good as new! For those who prefer more classic colors on their nails this one is the perfect summer red with a hint of coral just to make it more warm.
Do you love bright nails at summertime like me? Let me know what are your favorite summer nail polishes!

Essie Resort 2013 Collection
This is the month where the first summer nail collections, pre-summer collections I should say, are starting to release, and that makes me more than happy because summer shades on my nails are the ones that I love the most!
Essie's Resort collection features six bright and tropical shades, with fun dirty names, who scream summer!
Come Here! - An outrageously nearly neon coral.
First Timer - Fresh newbie green.
In the Cab-ana - Self assured aqua azure.
Under Where - Wildly flirtatious orchid.
Nice Package - Whistle worthy pink dahlia.
Again?! - Fired up raspberry punch.
This is propably one of the few nail collections that I want to get if not all the shades at least 4 of them, but for sure Come Here! and Under Where are the ones that I want the most!
Which shades do you like the most from the Resort 2013 collection? Do you enjoy summer nail collections as much as I do? Let me know!
*The Resort 2013 collection is available in Greece since April
2013 at hair and beauty salons, nail studios and spa, 12 € each.

Essie Madison Ave-Hue Spring 2013
Spring is just around the corner, and you know what that means right? New spring nail collections!
Essie's new spring collection is inspired by some of the most fashionable streets of the world, from cities such as Paris, New York, London, Japan, Munich and Rio.
As you can see pastel colors are the number one trend for the new season, and Essie knows how to make the best pastels! Here are all six colors:
Madison Ave-Hue -Chic Upper East Side pink steps out in style, turning any ensemble into a million dollar baby. Cha-ching.
Go Ginza - soft cherry blossom invites you into a floating world of quiet luxury and exquisite beauty. Domo arigato.
Avenue Maintain - Fashionably adroit, lovely Parisian blue channels the je ne sais quoi allure of the capital of chic.
Bond With Whomever - London’s calling. Pick it up in posh lilac and click with the culture clique – here, there and everywhere.
Maximillian Strasse Her - Bavarian style savy rules this regal boulevard. In cool grey green, you’re promenade queen, no tiara required
Hip-Anema - Sashay down a sandy runway in poppy-bright red orange and show’em who’s the bossa. Work that beach.
This collection is like a mix of a spring and a summer in one. You have your trusty spring pastels but you also have a bright red orange and a sky blue shade that reminds me more of summer! Madison Ave-Hue and Hip-Anema are definitely in my wishlist!
What shades are in your wishlist for this spring? Let me know!

Christmas NOTD: OPI Wocka Wocka! & China Glaze Champagne Kisses
It's Christmas Eve and I wanted to post a festive NOTD, so I choose red and gold! OPI Wocka Wocka! was released last year with OPI's holiday collection, The Muppets. It's a gorgeous deep blue-toned red with fine gold shimmers and in my opinion one of the best reds I've ever tried!
And to make my nails look more festive today I chose a gold glitter for my ring finger, China Glaze's Champagne Kisses. I got this one last week, it's from the new China Glaze Holiday Joy collection, it's a stunning champagne gold glitter polish, almost rose gold, with very fine milled glitters, you only need two coats with this one!
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas with your friends and family!

NOTD: OPI Tomorrow Never Dies
It's been such a long time since I did a NOTD post, and that's because I didn't paint my nails for a long time for some weird reason, I did a small break, but now that I got few new nail varnishes I decided to start posting again.
I recently bought two shades from the new OPI Skyfall collection, this time I'm showing you Tommorow Never Dies. I have to admit that it's not one of my favorite Bond movies, but it has a great theme song!
Tomorrow Never Dies is a unique metallic deep blue purple shade. I love
that the color changes depending on how the light catches it, sometimes
it looks more blue other times it looks more purple, this picture was taken with natural light.
The formula for
this varnish is amazing, very smooth and glossy, OPI never disappoints me!
Have you picked up any color from the Skyfall collection? Do you like Tomorrow Never Dies? Let me know!

Essie Winter Collection 2012
Christmas is on the way, even though the weather here is not even fall appropriate, and the winter and holiday nail collections are already out! Essie's Winter collection contains unique and I could say some unexpected shades for a winter collection. Beautiful reds, blues, silver and glitters are in the spotlight for this holiday season.
Beyond Cozy - a decadent silvery gold glitter
Butter Please - an indulgent bright blue
Leading Lady - a supreme deep red with glitter
She’s Pampered - an indulgent red
Snap Happy - a cheerful red orange
Where’s My Chauffer - an opulent turquoise
I have to say that Leading Lady is the one I'm most excited for! It looks so pretty and glittery, it reminds me of China Glaze's Ruby Pumps but super glittery, in my opinion perfect for the holiday season! Beyond Cozy, I love this name, also is in my wishlist, because a gold glitter nail polish is a must have for the Christmas. Where’s My Chauffer is also a very pretty and unique shade for the winter, it reminds me of crispy mints!
Which colors are going to be your picks for this holiday season?
*The Winter collection in Greece will be available from
November 2012 at hair and beauty salons, nail studios and spa, 12.5 €
each.

Essie Fall 2012 Collection - Stylenomics
Hello my lovelies, I just came back from my vacation and every year in the middle of the August I have this feeling that the fall is coming and I love it!! I can't stop reading blogs for the new make up fall collections, and since I'm a vampy lover when it comes to nails, I have to say that nail fall collections are by far my favorite ones!
Essie is one of my favorite nail polish brands, and every single year their fall collection is amazing! For this year Stylenomics collection includes 6 deep and warm shades with cream finish, such as teal, cherry red, magenta, burgundy, light grey and mauve-taupe, all highly glossy!!
Miss Fancy Pants - Refined, chic greige
Recessionista - Millionheiress magenta
Stylenomics - On the money opulent green
Head Mistress - Bold, take-charge red
Don't Sweater It - Warm & Cozy mauve
Skirting The Issue - Slinky & subversive burgundy
Which shades from the collection do you like the most, which are you going to purchase? I know for sure that Recessionista and Skirting the Issue are in my fall wishlist!
*The Stylenomics collection in Greece will be available from September 2012 at hair and beauty salons, nail studios and spa, 12.5 € each.

NOTD: Color Club Tangerine Scream
Happy Friday to you all!!! For my nails I decided to use an old favorite, Color Club's Tangerine Scream, which was released with the Electro Candy collection back in the summer of 2009.
Tangerine Scream is a soft neon orange with shimmers, I'm not sure what
color of shimmers are exactly, it depends on how you look at the bottle but I
can see silver, white and some green also. Even though it doesn't look
like a neon shade it is, it get's brighter in direct sunlight. I
absolutely love it, the only problem I have with this varnish is that it is very sheer, I used 3 coats of this and it's still sheer.
Unfortunately all the shades from this collection were limited edition. Please excuse my bad cuticles, I have to get a good cuticle cream ASAP!

NOTD: Essie Short Shorts
In a neon mood for the past 2 weeks, now I decided to use a pretty hot neon pink shade for my nails, Essie Short Shorts. It was released with Essie's Neon Shorts collection back in 2008, and I remember I was using it like crazy that summer. The formula is still amazing, it's like I've just purchased it, so smooth, no sticky at all.
Essie's neons have a different formula than other neons that I've tried like China Glaze, Misa and Color Club, they're not thick at all, they're runny and applying without streaks. But because of their different formula they do not look as bright as other neons, but they're still bright! The pictures I took are in daylight.
Do you like wearing neon shades on your nails at summertime? Let me know!

NOTD: OPI Cajun Shrimp
OPI Cajun
Shrimp was the first coral nail polish I've purchased, and also my first OPI
polish, back in 2006. At first I didn't like it, I thought it was too red for
me because I wasn't used to wear bright colors, but since then a lot have
changed, I cannot live without bright colors on my nails, especially at
summertime.
The shade
is a creme coral red, it applies like a dream on my nails because it has the
old good OPI formula, with the big flat brush that OPI doesn't have anymore.
And I have to say that even though it's a 6 year old bottle the texture
is still amazingly good, like brand new!
Do you have Cajun Shrimp? Do you like it? Let me know!
