Empties #7

Empties - Products I've Used Up #5 - Part 1

Hello my lovelies! As you can see from the title this is going to be an "empties" post, I recently realised that I haven't done one in ages, last time I wrote one was in May and since then I managed to collect two whole bags of empty products! So I thought that including them in only one post it would be too much, so I decided to split them in two parts. This first part is going to be about hair and skincare stuff, and the next one is going to be again about skincare and make up.
So let's start!
Soap and Glory Clean, Girls Body Wash
I got this huge shower gel last year when I visited London, the quality is amazing, very creamy and hydrating plus it has a masculine scent which is incredible unique. If I had access to these shower gels I would definitely buy one again.

Elvive Total Repair 5 Shampoo and Conditioner.
I don't have much of experience with Loreal's shampoos and conditioners, I find that this is an OK shampoo, I really liked the fact that it never made my hair greasy or dry, in my opinion it's perfect for normal hair, it's not moisturizing enough for drier hair. To be honest I liked the conditioner more, and I've already mentioned it in one of my monthly favourites post in the past, it made my hair super soft without making it feeling heavy or greasy.
Ausie Miracle Moist Shampoo and Conditioner.
It's very rare for a shampoo and conditioner to impress me but these two actually did it, I absolutely love them! Even though their name is "Miracle Moist" if you have dry hair you won't be pleased with the shampoo, it's not very moisturizing but for my normal to dry and fine hair it's moisturizing enough, and it leaves my hair really soft! I have to admit that I love the conditioner a bit more, and if I had to choose only one conditioner for the rest of my life it would be this one! It has a unique cream to gel texture but it manages to make my hair incredibly soft and detangled.

Sunsilk Nourishing Soft and Smooth Conditioner
I've tried almost every single of the Sunsilk conditioners and this one has got to be my favourite. I don't consider this as a conditioner but more of a deep conditioner or a mask because it's super hydrating, I've tried hair masks that hydrated my hair less than this baby did! But I had to be careful and use only a small amount of this otherwise it made my hair very greasy. I also loved the fact that it has an amazing warm scent, it must be the argan oil.
Proderm Sleep Easy Body Lotion
Yes I know that this is a baby body lotion, but I couldn't resist to the smell, it smells like..........I can't really describe it, but it smells like a baby and lavender, yeah I know I'm really bad at describing scents! It has quite a thick texture but it blends nicely into the skin and it never leaved a greasy feeling to my body. I recommend this to everyone that love baby lotion's smells in general, and to be honest with you I really want to buy the matching shower gel!

L'oreal Gentle Waterproof Eye Make Up Remover - Eyes and Lips
This is by far my HG drugstore duo-phase eye make up remover! It even managed to beat my previous favourite, the Johnson's Gentle Eye Make Up Removal Lotion. It removes any type of mascara very easy and it leaves my eye area hydrated, also it never irritated my eyes.
Johnson's Gentle Eye Make Up Removal Lotion
I've mentioned above that this used to be my HG favorite eye make up remover from the drugstore, and whenever I find it on sale I always grab one but to be honest it cannot beat the L'oreal waterproof one, and that's because is not as strong, it needs a bit more rubbing than the Loreal one to take off the eye make up. It's great for those who don't like the really oily dup-phase eye make up removers, and also for those who have sensitive eyes.

Pom Pon Make Up Removing Wipes for Sensitive Skin
I rarely use make up wipes to remove my face or eye make up, I prefer my Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm or a micellar water, but let's be honest, these wipes are so handy when you're away on holiday! So whevener I go away on a trip I always choose these ones, the Pom Pon Soothing & Regenerating for sensitive skin. They're the best ones from all the make up removing wipes I've tried in the past, they never irritated my skin or my eyes like most wipes do and they're extremely wet, even after one month opened they're still very wet and that's quite impressing.
Avene Cleanance Gel Cleansing Gel
If you're reading my blog long enough you'd propably already know that I'm using this cleansing gel for many many years and I've been through countless bottles of this baby. My skin changes quite a few times within a year, from super to oily to combination to dry, but since last spring my skin has been quite oily so I started using this cleansing gel again, it's the only one I trust for my acne prone skin.

Seventeen Specifics 2-Phase Eye and Lip Make Up Remover
Yeah I know, another eye make up remover but I go through them really quick so once in a while I like to try different ones. This one from Seventeen really dissapointed me, even though it's quite oily it failed to remove my eye make up quickly, and it's quite expensive for a drugstore eye make up remover so I don't recommend this one, the Loreal and Johnson's ones are way better.

So that was the first part of my empties post, let me know if you've tried any of the these products, if you liked them or not. The second part with more skincare and make up stuff will be up really soon!

"What's In My Shower" Tag.

So about a month ago I was tagged by the lovely Vicky from the blog  Beauty & the Food Beast to do the "What's In My Shower" tag but I completely forgot about it, so I'm doing it now, even though I'm propably the last person doing it but I think that's ok. I decided to show you only the products that I use while I'm in the shower, and not any body creams or lotions. Since the corner of my shower it's not a particular beautiful spot to show to you guys, I put them all in a basket just to look more presentable.
I'll start off with the shampoos that I'm using right now. I love the Herbal Essences shampoos, I must have tried all of them but I always prefer the creamy over the clear ones because they're more hydrating. Right now I'm using the Seductively Straight one, it's pretty good nothing too special but it's OK. And every 3 weeks or once a month I use the Redken Hair Cleansing Cream shampoo, which is a clarifying shampoo, it gets rid off all the build up that I may have on my hair from styling products, hair oils etc. It does a great job but beware it is a strong shampoo that's why I always deep conditioning my hair after that, it also has a pleasant fresh/citrus scent which I love.
The conditioners that I use right now and I love them both very much are the Aussie Miracle Moist and the L'oreal Total Elvive Repair 5. The Aussie Miracle Moist is a great lightweight but very moisturizing conditioner, my bottle is almost empty but I repurchased it about a week ago, it is quite expensive in Greece but I always look out for deals and coupons. The L'oreal Elvive Total Repair 5 is an oldie but goodie, it's my favourite drugstore hair conditioner for a long time, it's actually one of the most high quality conditioners you will find at the drugstore.

Two shower gels that I love using besides soaps, which I also like but I didn't have any to show to you right now, are the Dove Go Fresh with Blue Fig and Orange Blossom, and the Soap & Glory Clean Girls body wash. The Dove Go Fresh has a very summerish scent perfect for a moring shower. The Soap & Glory Clean Girls body wash unfortunately is not sold in Greece, I got it while I was in the UK but if you can get it in your hands or any of the Soap & Glory body washes  in general just grab one, they are very moisturizing, this particular one has a very unique flowery and manly scent. And I love the pump, I wish all shower gels would come with a pump, they're so handy!
As for the scrubs that I'm using I have to say that I like to exfoliate my face only while I'm in the shower, I don't know why, don't ask me. Even though I'm a hardcore fan of the Korres Pomegranate face scrub I grabbed this St.Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub while I was in the UK just to try it out, and also because it's a very popular face scrub and I cannot get it in Greece. I can't say that I love it as much as I love the Korres one but it they're very similar in texture, the only problem that I have with the St.Ives one is that it has a strong smell of alcohol which I don't particularly like. When it comes to exfoliate my body I'm such a lazy person, I always forget to do it. Right now I'm using the Soap & Glory Breakfast Scrub which I also got in the UK, and I have to say that it smells exactly like brown sugar! The texture is kind of weird though, it's very hard, not creamy at all and I'm used to more creamy body scrubs like the ones from The Body Shop which I love. This one you have to really work it between your hands to warm it up so you can apply it on your skin, otherwise it will just fall into your bathtub, even then it will still crumble and make a bit of a mess in your shower.

So that was everything, all the products that I use while I'm in the shower, ok maybe not everything, I didn't include razors and soap for the intimate area, because to be honest they are not that intresting. I like to change the products that I'm using in the shower quite often, but these are the ones that I'm using this period, I hope you liked them.
Let me know if you're using any of them or if you've tried them in the past and if you like them or not. Even better let me know what are the products that you're using while you're in the shower, and for any of you that you haven't been tagged to do this post, I tag you all!

November Favorites.

I know I'm a little late with my monthly favorites, maybe even the last person that's doing it now, but it's better late than never right? Well honestly it's not my fault, we had such a crappy weather here for almost a week and it was impossible for me to take decent pictures so I waited until there was some sunshine so I can take my pictures and show them to you guys! I have to say that I'm pretty happy with my monthly favorites this time, so I should just stop rambling and get on with the actual post.

I'll start off with my favorite perfume, the Vera Wang Princess, which I've already mentioned in my latest haul post here. I can't rave enough about this perfume, it has a fresh, light and delicate scent. I've purchased it twice within the past year, and I will keep repurchasing it in the future for sure.
I always like to re-arrange my Mac quads according to the current season or my mood, this time the four eyeshadows that I've been using a lot are Arena, Time & Space, Cork and Twinks. Twinks is actually my favorite eyeshadow to use at fall time, it's a beautiful medium to dark brown with plum undertones. All of these eyeshadows are in the Mac permanent line except Time & Space.
A mascara that really surprised me is the Sephora Lash Plumper. I never thought that I would love a  mascara from Sephora, I've purchased it only because there was a deal back in October, you'd get any Sephora mascara for only 10 euros, so I grabbed this one and for sure I haven't regret it. It gives amazing length to my lashes with a bit of volume, the texture is perfect, not too wet or dry and it actually holds a curl without being waterproof, I will do a full review about it really soon.

And a product that I've mentioned a couple of times last summer is the Seventeen Cafe Au Lait blush, which I just start using again after a long break from any kind of bronzer and I don't think I'll ever stop using it again. It's just perfect as an all over bronzer or just for contouring, the shade is a warm brown, it doesn't turn orange on my skin at all. I think this is the only bronzer that I will be using from now on.
Two lipsticks that I really enjoyed using are the Mac Way To Love and the Seventeen Matte Lasting lipstick in #2. I've mentioned them in my last year's October favorites , if you want to see swatches of both lipsticks here's the link. Mac Way To Love is the perfect light pink for me and it's a shame that it was a limited edition shades years ago, I'm trying to find a dupe of this and I believe that it's a cross between Mac Creme Cup and Angel, which means that when I run out this one I have to get Creme Cup and Angel for sure! Seventeen's Matte Lasting #2 is a nude pinkish beige, almost like a "my lips but better" shade. I love this specific matte lipstick because it doesn't have a true matte texture but more of a satin one. These Seventeen Matte Lasting lipsticks are very popular in Greece because they have a really good quality for their money, they cost only 10 euros. They also have a good color range and amazing pigmentation. I only own two at the moment but I really need to get more shades in the future.
A haircare product that I got recently and fell in love instantly is the new Garnier Fructis Miraculous Oil Brushing Express. The original Garnier Miraculous Oil is a very popular drugstore hair oil that I've never tried but I read really good reviews about it, but when I saw that they released one that it's also a heat protector I had to get it. I blow dry my hair quite often so using a hair oil first and then a seperate heat protector is just too much, with this I only have to use one product and the results are amazing! I think it's even better than the Moroccanoil, well actually let me think about it........yes it's definitely better than the Moroccanoil. It has a thicker texture so I only use one pump for my whole hair, and it makes the blow drying process very easy. One more thing, it only costs 8 euros for 150 ml , come on, you can't beat that price, plus you can also find really good deals at the drugstore or the supermarket, I got mine with 30% off. If you ever see that product please grab it, you won't regret it!

My last beauty favorite is a body lotion, the Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Body Milk. Even though I got this while I was in London back in May, I was saving it for the colder months especially around Christmas time because of its smell. Oh that smell, it's like a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream frosting, it must be what heaven smells like! It has got to be the best product that I bought while I was in London and definitely the best from all the Soap & Glory products that I've tried out, if I had the chance I'd definitely buy it again. Good thing is that this is a huge 500ml bottle so it will last me for quite a while.

Non Beauty Favorites
The Originals is definitely my TV series choice of the month! For those who don't know The Originals is a spin-off from The Vampire Diaries and set in New Orleans. I like it way more than TVD which in my opinion the last few seasons turned out to be quite boring, and from the current season I've only watched like the first two episodes and then stopped. I find this show to be way better than TVD, the plot, the scenery and the characters are way more intresting. And I don't know about you but Elijah is my dream man, such a kind, honorable and yet super sexy character, don't you agree?

This is the drink that everyone cannot wait to come every single year around Christmas time, the drink that even though it contains 55.678 calories we're still going to enjoy, this is the infamous Toffee Nut Latte from Starbucks. I had to include this drink to my November favorites since it's the Christmas season and this coffee is a guilty pleasure of mine, I have to drink this every once in a while just to make me feel more happy.

Well these were all my November favorites, have you tried any of the things that I mentioned? Do you watch The Originals, and what's your opinion about it? Let me know!

London Haul Part 1

Some of you may already know that I went to a trip to London two weeks ago, and as a beauty addict and blogger I HAD to visit Boots, which was a heaven on earth for many high street brands that I wanted to try for a really long time. I hauled from brands that I can't find here in Greece, and even though I didn't get many stuff I decided to seperate my haul in two parts, one for skin and body products and one for make up and nail products. The first one is going to be about the skin and body products that I bought. Please excuse the photos, I had to use flash this time because the natural light in my house has been terrible this whole week.

Soap & Glory The Breakfast Scrub
Soap & Glory is the brand that I wanted to try the most from the UK, and I got many body stuff from them. I really needed a body scrub because my Sephora one is pretty much useless,I did a research before I leave, about which one from the many body scrubs Soap & Glory has is the most popular one, and I saw that The Breakfast Club is really popular because of its smell, and they were so right. It smells like brown sugar and vanilla, not really a summer scent but oh it's so delicious! The texture is a little bit weird though, it's like a sugar based body scrub but it's very thick and I have to apply it on a really wet skin in order to start melting and being able to work it all over my body, it takes some time and it crubles all over the bath tub but it's worth it, it does a really good job at exfoliating my skin.

Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Deep Moisture Body Milk
OK first of all the bottle is huge! You get half a litre of body lotion for the price you get half a Body Shop Body Butter here, I'm just saying. It's a very good body milk without being heavy at all, and the smell is pure heaven, it smells like a vanilla milkshake, and it's not a strong smell at all  Now that I'm thinking about it I should have gotten a second bottle.

Soap & Glory Clean,Girls Skin Softening Creamy Body Wash
Also a body wash was something I really wanted to try from Soap & Glory, I got the Clean, Girls just because at that moment I believed it had the best smell of all the ones that I smelled but now that I'm thinking about it I may have been wrong, just because this one has a very unique floral smell. On the bottle it says that it has natural vanilla fruit and orchid extracts, but I can only smell the orchid. It's a light manly scent, which is not bad, I like masculine scents sometimes but not all the time. Of course I'll use it up because it's very creamy and it lathers up really well, but it's not one of my HG body washes.

Soap & Glory Hand Food
This hand cream is one of the most popular products that Soap & Glory has, I got this for my mother because she always love using hand creams, I rarely do. But I decided to try it out, the texture of the cream is really good but I really can't stand the smell! I don't know what it smells exactly but I cannot smell the Shea Butter neither the marshmallow, maybe it's the macadamia oil I don't know but I don't like it and it's really powerful for me, but my mother likes it, so it really depends on your own personal preference.

Soap & Glory Heel Genius Amazing Foot Cream
I also got this foot cream for my mother, but I like it so much that we're going to share this one for sure! The texture of this cream is what made me love it, it's very lightweight but it does a good job and that's what I'm always looking for in a foot cream because I can't stand heavy creams on my feet. It doesn't have a powerful smell but I still can't really tell what it smells like exactly.

Batiste Dry Shampoo Coconut & Exotic Tropical
I can't say much really about this dry shampoo because I haven't try it yet, I only wish it will be a good one. So far I've only smelled it and it smells very coconuty, very summerish, I hope the scent doesn't make me nauseous.

St. Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub
An Apricot scrub by St.Ives was in my wishlist for many years! I decided to try the Invigorating one because it's oil free, and I guess that it's perfect for oily skintypes. So far I've only tried it once, and my first impression is that I really like it, it has the same texture with my HG face scrub, Korres Pomegranate, only slightly drier, the Korres one is more creamy, so I need to really wet my face before I start exfoliating it. It left my skin very soft, exactly like the Korres one does, my only complaint is the smell. It's really strong and I can't smell the apricot at all, but I can smell alcohol which is not very good.

Nivea Lip Butters in Original and Caramel Cream
Since these Lip Butters were released I wanted to try them like crazy. I love the classic Nivea Lip Care, it's called Liposan in Greece, it's my HG because it's very creamy. These Lip Butters comparable to the Lip Care ones, are more thick but still very moisturizing, and the taste of the Caramel Cream one is amazing! What really surprised me is that you get 19 ml of product for only 2.5 euros, while the Lip Care is only 5 ml for the same price, which is crazy!! For sure these tins will last me forever!

So that's it for the first part of my London haul, the second part with all the make up stuff that I got will be up in a few days! Let me know if you've tried any of the products that I mentioned, and if you like them or not. I really wanna know!
