February Favorites.

Finally a monthly favorites post! I haven't done one in a while because to be honest I didn't have any favorite products to show you. I haven't been wearing make up that often and since I got some new products within the past month I wanted to start using them for a while and decide which ones I like the most and include them in my February favorites.
 Benefit It's Potent! Eye Cream
If there's only one skincare item that I've been loving a lot these past few months it's definitely the It's Potent eye cream from Benefit! It's hard for me to find the best eye cream, it has to be moisturizing but not too greasy because my concealer will crease like crazy, and I don't like thinner eye creams because they do not moisturize my undereye area at all. This one has just the right texture, not too thin and not too thick, it moisturizes really well without being heavy and the concealer just sticks on top really well.
Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream
I don't know why but I was never into BB creams, lately I'm just sick of using foundation as a base whenever I want to do my make up, it's just too much for an everyday look to go and run some errands or just go for shopping, and that's why I got this BB cream in the first place. It's not the perfect one for sure because I do get oily really quick but I just love how fresh my face looks with this on, and I don't mind if I need to blot my face a few more times throught the day.

Bourjois Happy Light Luminous Serum Primer
A primer is also a product that I rarely use, because the majority of the ones that I've tried in the past had that silicone texture which after a few hours made me look even more oily. This one has a totally different texture, it's like a moisturizer that dries up on my face really quick. It gives a fresh luminous look that you notice only after you put your make up on, and the best part is that it doesn't make me oily, even though it says that it's for dry and normal skintypes, it's definitely better than Benefit's Porefessional when it comes to oil control.
Benefit Dallas
I rediscovered Dallas in my make up stash recently and I wanted to start using it as a bronzer again. It's not the typical brown or peachy shade of bronzer, it has rose undertones, and because of that I skip blush sometimes and I only wear this. The quality of this powder is just perfect, it's so finely milled and highly pigmented and that's the main reason why I wanna try Hoola sometime in the future.
Maybelline Babylips Peach Kiss
Recently I went to a Maybelline event for the launch of their new products here in Greece, including the very famous Babylips and I was very happy that they gave us all six of them to try out. The one that I instantly fell in love with is the Peach Kiss one, as I do with every single peachy lipstick or lipgloss or balm! It's not the most moisturizing lip balm I've ever tried, they're not creamy and waxy they're more glossy, for sure they cannot beat my beloved Liposan (Nivea at other countries) but the peachy taste and the light beige glossy shade it gives on my lips are the two things that I love with this one.

NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee
I haven't really been wearing the NYX Butter Glosses at all since I got them, mainly because the Mega Shine lipgloss in Beige stole my heart, it's the only lipgloss that I've been wearing for months. But I wanted to start using the Butter Glosses too so I saved the Apple Strudel which is a summerish color for the spring and summer and now I use the Creme Brulee. It's a beautiful kind of nudish beige-pink shade, if that shade decription makes any sense to you, it has mauve undertones but it's not cool toned, it's a neutral shade that goes with every make up look. Also it makes my lips look really plump and full with no shimmers in, my kind of perfect lip gloss!

Non Beauty Favorites
Sleepy Hollow is a new tv series, I watched the whole Season 1 in just a few days, well it's only 13 episodes, but anyway it's actually really good! At first I refused to watch it, I thought it would be a silly "Sleepy Hollow" knock off (you know the 1999 movie with Johnny Depp) but it has nothing to do with that one, it has its own unique plot which gets better and better in every single episode! If you like supernatural tv series you should definitely watch it!

Lately I've been obsessed with Drop Dead Diva, I watched all 5 seasons within a month and I wonder why I never watched this show before! It's so cute and funny, very well written and Jane is such a goddess! I read that the upcoming 6th season will be the last one and if that's true then I will be really sad, because I think that it's the perfect summer tv show, I hope that it's not true.

And for my music favorite, it's of course Beyonce's new self-titled album! It was such an amazing surprise when she released her album in December out of nowhere, with no promo, and each song comes with a video. The songs that I love the most are Partition, Drunk In Love, XO and Flawless. Out of all her five albums I think this one is my second favourite after her first one, which will always will be my top one. And if you haven't heard this album yet, what are you doing with your life? Just go and do it!

So these were all my favorites from the previous months. Have you tried any of the products that I mentioned? Did you like them? I wanna know!

November Favorites.

I know I'm a little late with my monthly favorites, maybe even the last person that's doing it now, but it's better late than never right? Well honestly it's not my fault, we had such a crappy weather here for almost a week and it was impossible for me to take decent pictures so I waited until there was some sunshine so I can take my pictures and show them to you guys! I have to say that I'm pretty happy with my monthly favorites this time, so I should just stop rambling and get on with the actual post.

I'll start off with my favorite perfume, the Vera Wang Princess, which I've already mentioned in my latest haul post here. I can't rave enough about this perfume, it has a fresh, light and delicate scent. I've purchased it twice within the past year, and I will keep repurchasing it in the future for sure.
I always like to re-arrange my Mac quads according to the current season or my mood, this time the four eyeshadows that I've been using a lot are Arena, Time & Space, Cork and Twinks. Twinks is actually my favorite eyeshadow to use at fall time, it's a beautiful medium to dark brown with plum undertones. All of these eyeshadows are in the Mac permanent line except Time & Space.
A mascara that really surprised me is the Sephora Lash Plumper. I never thought that I would love a  mascara from Sephora, I've purchased it only because there was a deal back in October, you'd get any Sephora mascara for only 10 euros, so I grabbed this one and for sure I haven't regret it. It gives amazing length to my lashes with a bit of volume, the texture is perfect, not too wet or dry and it actually holds a curl without being waterproof, I will do a full review about it really soon.

And a product that I've mentioned a couple of times last summer is the Seventeen Cafe Au Lait blush, which I just start using again after a long break from any kind of bronzer and I don't think I'll ever stop using it again. It's just perfect as an all over bronzer or just for contouring, the shade is a warm brown, it doesn't turn orange on my skin at all. I think this is the only bronzer that I will be using from now on.
Two lipsticks that I really enjoyed using are the Mac Way To Love and the Seventeen Matte Lasting lipstick in #2. I've mentioned them in my last year's October favorites , if you want to see swatches of both lipsticks here's the link. Mac Way To Love is the perfect light pink for me and it's a shame that it was a limited edition shades years ago, I'm trying to find a dupe of this and I believe that it's a cross between Mac Creme Cup and Angel, which means that when I run out this one I have to get Creme Cup and Angel for sure! Seventeen's Matte Lasting #2 is a nude pinkish beige, almost like a "my lips but better" shade. I love this specific matte lipstick because it doesn't have a true matte texture but more of a satin one. These Seventeen Matte Lasting lipsticks are very popular in Greece because they have a really good quality for their money, they cost only 10 euros. They also have a good color range and amazing pigmentation. I only own two at the moment but I really need to get more shades in the future.
A haircare product that I got recently and fell in love instantly is the new Garnier Fructis Miraculous Oil Brushing Express. The original Garnier Miraculous Oil is a very popular drugstore hair oil that I've never tried but I read really good reviews about it, but when I saw that they released one that it's also a heat protector I had to get it. I blow dry my hair quite often so using a hair oil first and then a seperate heat protector is just too much, with this I only have to use one product and the results are amazing! I think it's even better than the Moroccanoil, well actually let me think about it........yes it's definitely better than the Moroccanoil. It has a thicker texture so I only use one pump for my whole hair, and it makes the blow drying process very easy. One more thing, it only costs 8 euros for 150 ml , come on, you can't beat that price, plus you can also find really good deals at the drugstore or the supermarket, I got mine with 30% off. If you ever see that product please grab it, you won't regret it!

My last beauty favorite is a body lotion, the Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Body Milk. Even though I got this while I was in London back in May, I was saving it for the colder months especially around Christmas time because of its smell. Oh that smell, it's like a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream frosting, it must be what heaven smells like! It has got to be the best product that I bought while I was in London and definitely the best from all the Soap & Glory products that I've tried out, if I had the chance I'd definitely buy it again. Good thing is that this is a huge 500ml bottle so it will last me for quite a while.

Non Beauty Favorites
The Originals is definitely my TV series choice of the month! For those who don't know The Originals is a spin-off from The Vampire Diaries and set in New Orleans. I like it way more than TVD which in my opinion the last few seasons turned out to be quite boring, and from the current season I've only watched like the first two episodes and then stopped. I find this show to be way better than TVD, the plot, the scenery and the characters are way more intresting. And I don't know about you but Elijah is my dream man, such a kind, honorable and yet super sexy character, don't you agree?

This is the drink that everyone cannot wait to come every single year around Christmas time, the drink that even though it contains 55.678 calories we're still going to enjoy, this is the infamous Toffee Nut Latte from Starbucks. I had to include this drink to my November favorites since it's the Christmas season and this coffee is a guilty pleasure of mine, I have to drink this every once in a while just to make me feel more happy.

Well these were all my November favorites, have you tried any of the things that I mentioned? Do you watch The Originals, and what's your opinion about it? Let me know!

October Favorites

I still can't believe this, but November it's already here, but the weather has been so good all this time that it feels like it's September! Anyway it's time for my monthly favorites, and as you will see I didn't have lots of new favorites last month, but this time I will show you some of my non beauty favorites too, because the past few months I hadn't show you any. So let's start.
Apivita Creamy Face & Eye Foam Cleanser with Olive and Lavender
I've already mention this cleanser a lot the past few months, it should be in my previous monthly favorites but I completely forgot about it, but anyway I'm adding it now. This cleanser is incredible, so good that it actually helped my oily but dehydrated skin so much and now I no longer have dry patches all over my face. If you have the same skintype as me, or even just normal or combination skin, you should give it a try, I'm pretty sure you that will love it!

Burt's Bees Sensitive Night Cream
I used this moisturizer mostly at the beginning of October when my skin was a little bit more dry, and it helped a lot! It's a basic unscented moisturizer, with a very light texture like a mousse, but it hydrates really well. I wear this only at nightime because it can be a little too heavy under make up for my oily skin, but if you have normal skintype I think you will love it as a day time moisturizer too. It never broke me out, and as it says it's perfect for sensitive skins, because I've tried other moisturizers that are targeted for sensitive skins but they irritated my skin which for the record it's not super sensitive, so this one is a winner for me!

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 20
As for my makeup favorites, last month I enjoyed a lot this Maybelline concealer. It's my latest addition to my concealer collection, well actually no it's not, I recently got another one but I will show it to you in a future haul post. I have to admit that I have a concealer addiction, I always buy new ones, I use them for a while and then I move on to another, it's like I'm never fully satisfied, I have this problem with foundations too but with the concealers it's worst. So anyway back to the Fit Me concealer, I have to say that it really surprised me, in a good way, it's very hydrating, perfect for under the eyes. I don't know about you, but for me it's always hard to find a hydrating concealer even in the high end ones, so this one was such a good buy for the wintertime! My only problem is the shade, I wish that it wasn't that yellow, I prefer more peachy and beige ones, but nevertheless it's a great cheap concealer, and I think you should all try it.

NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss in Beige
Literally this is the only lip product that I've been using in October and I still do. I never thought that I would love a lipgloss that much, and I'm not even a lipgloss person, I believe that says a lot! Everything about it it's perfect, the texture, the color, everything. It's not sticky but also it's not watery, it has no shimmers which I love, and the shade is the perfect neutral pink that goes well with every single eye makeup look, what more can I ask? If you haven't tried it yet, please do!

Essence Sweetheart Blush
This is one of Essence's newest shades, it's a very beautiful light pink shade, definitely not a cool toned one, it's more of a neutral pink with some beige undertones. It's the most lovely pink I've ever seen in a blush, and even though it's very light colored, as you can see from the swatch on my hand, it manages to really show up on my face and that's really surprising because I tend to have a problem with blushes in general, they all go sheer on my face. It's the perfect everyday blush in my opinion and the shade goes with every look, cool or warm toned. And the best part, it costs only 2.5 euros.

Non Beauty Favorites
I think it was about time to start showing you some of my non beauty favorites again, and this time I have something that I absolutely loved watching for the whole month. I've always been hearing great things about Scandal but for some reason I was never interested in watching this tv show,  I think it must have been the fact that the show is written by Shonda Rimes who also wrote Grey's Anatomy, and I've never been a huge fan of Grey's Anatomy, I think it was way too boring and meh. But I kept seeing all these GIFs at Tumblr and it looked kind of intresting so I gave it a chance and I'm telling you, it only took one episode and I was hooked! Within a month I watched both seasons and now I'm watching the third. This show somehow manages to always keep your interest, it has never being boring and the plot it's getting better with every single episode. I also have a huge admiration for every single one of Olivia Pope's coats, my only wish is to own one of them in the future! So yes this was a HG discovery for the month of October!

And last but not least, it was impossible not to include the second part of Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience album in my favorites this month! I loved the first one, it's still one of my most played albums in my playlist and the second part I think it's even better! My HG songs from this one are Electric Lady, Gimme What I Don't Know (I want) and Take Back The Night. It keeps the same mature sound as the first one but I think it has more of a beat, the tracks are definitely more rhythmic. Justin Timberlake is like a good old wine, he gets better with age. If you liked the first one you will love the second one too!

So these were all of my beauty and non beauty favorites for the month of October. What were your October favorites? Let me know!

June Favorites.

Apparently I must be the last person to post my monthly favorites this time, I'm sorry I know, I've been so lazy the past few days, it must be the summer's heat.
I'm so happy that this time in my monthly favorites post I can show you some new stuff that I've been really enjoying using these past few weeks!
Revlon Nearly Naked foundation + powder
I got these two a little over a month ago when I was in London, and I've been loving them since. The foundation is very lightweight, with sheer to medium coverage, which i think it's perfect for summertime. It can be a little oily sometimes, especially now that it's summer and here in Greece it's super hot, it gets oily mostly around my nose and chin, but I always blot with a powder or blotting papers. I'm pretty sure a primer would help but I don't own any primers right now, it's something I really want to invest to in the near future. The powder really compliments the foundation, it gives a really beautiful dewy look, I love that it makes my cheeks look flawless. The best part is that the powder is a little darker than the foundation and more beige toned, which neutralizes the yellow shade of the foundation.

Benefit Hello Flawless powder
Last summer this powder foundation was the only thing I was using the whole time, and as you can see I'm almost done, but I got a back up last fall while it was on sale. Now whenever it's super hot and I can't stand anything on my face, I skip the Revlon Nearly Naked foundation and I only wear this with some concealer underneath. It provides amazing coverage, it's super easy to use, I apply it with ELF's Powder Brush, which is a flat top kabuki brush but not with synthetic hair, this powder doesn't apply well when you do it with a synthetic brush. I only wish I had the next-darker shade, just because I find this shade to be a little too light and yellow for me right now, this one is in the shade Champagne.

Benefit Dallas
Dallas is a versalite face powder, it can be used  as a bronzer and as a blush. Right now I've been using it as a bronzer, it's not my favorite bronzer but it looks good, I really like the soft texture it has. I prefer my bronzers to have strong brown undertones, they look better with my skintone, Dallas has more of a plum-rose undertone, and that's what makes it good as a bronzer and as a blush too.

Benefit Coralista
I got Coralista in a mini size as a part of the Go TropiCoral make up set last summer, and I haven't used it that much, just because it's too sheer, for some weird reason Coralista doesn't show up on my cheeks at all, and I'm only a NC25. But I tried to layer it on top of other peachy blushes and it works really good, it adds a very beautiful peachy sheen to them, so that's why I have been using it as a subtle highlighter. Plus it has an amazing smell, very fruity, like mangoes.

Artdeco Blusher in #05
A true peachy blush in summer for me it's an essential! One of the best peachy blushes I've tried is Artdeco's 05, it has an orange-peachy shade with matte texture and it costs only 7 euros, what more could I ask? I don't know if it's in their permanent line because I got it last summer with their summer collection, but if you can find it, grab it!

Here are swatches for all three products:
from left to right: Benefit Dallas, Artdeco #05, Benefit Coralista

Benefit Coralista Ultra Plush lipgloss
I have the mini size of this lipgloss, I also got this in the Go TropiCoral make up set. For almost a year I rarely wear lipglosses, I like glossy balms, glossy lipsticks but glosses....no, not so much. But this one is just perfect, it's like a balm, super smooth on the lips and not sticky at all. I love using it under bright lipsticks to make them look more sheer, the shade is a very sheer coral one. I'm really considering trying more of their Ultra Plush glosses in the future, especially Hoola.

L'oreal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss in 910 Bite The Maracuja
I got this a few weeks ago, and it's already been my HG lip product for this summer. It's an orangey-coral, glossy-balmy lipstick (I hope I didn't confuse you with this description) with some gold glitters. The shade it's perfect for summertime, and it's super easy to use.
Here are swatches of both:
from left to right: Benefit Coralista, L'oreal Balmy Gloss in 910 Bite The Maracuja

Sunsilk Nourishing Oil Spray with Moroccan, Argan and Almond Oils
This is propably the one product that I enjoyed using the most this month, and I'm still loving it. It's a duo-phase hair oil and conditioner, I'm using it right before I comb my hair as a detangler, and then I do a few more spritzes all over the hair and using it as I do with a hair oil. It makes my hair incredibly soft, and helps with the whole process of blow drying. If it's available to you, because I know Sunsilk is not available in many countries, please try it!

Non Beauty Favorites

Even though Awkward is a teen TV series, for some weird reason (as if I don't watch Teen Wolf already) I was hooked on this show. I started watching at the beginning of June, and within 2 weeks I watched all 3 seasons. I really like it, it's funny and I think it's a really good choice for the summer. But now I have to wait until next summer for the fourth season.

And for my music choice this month, I've been loving Rihanna's Unapologetic album. I know this album was out in November, but I just started listening it to it, and I'm so hooked, propably my HG album for this year, along with Justin Timberlake's the 20/20 Experience. My favorites songs are: Loveeeeeee Song , Nobody's Business, Get It Over With and Jump.

So these were my beauty and non beauty favorites for June. What were your favorites? Beauty and non beauty related. I wanna know!

May Favorites.

I know I'm a little late this time with my monthly favorites, but better late than never right?
Some of these products were the ones that I wore all the time while I was in London, and some I started using them for the first time when I came back and I'm very impressed with them!

Garnier Moisture Match moisturizer for dry to normal skin
In May I received from Garnier their new Moisture Match moisturizers to try them out. When I came back from my trip I run out of my beloved mositurizer, the Body Shop's Seaweed Day Cream and since I had all 4 of these new Moisture Match moisturizers, I decided to try one of these out instead of repurchasing a new one from the Body Shop. My skin was acting very strange these days, it's still oily but my cheeks and chin are dry so I decided to try the one that is for normal skins, and I loved it! I don't usually mention skincare products in my monthly favorites that I've tried less than a month but this one made a huge difference on my skin so I had to mention it. It hasn't broke me out, it makes my skin very moisturized and my cheeks look plumpy. Yes it can be heavy, because I have oily skin, I like to use it mostly at nighttime and not under my foundation. I'm pretty sure I'm going to use this moisturizer a lot when the weather gets colder, and I'm definitely going to try the one for oily skins really soon.

Clinique Blended Face Powder in 03 Transparency
For some weird reason I've never mentioned this powder before but it's been my HG for over 7 years, this jar is actually the second one I've bought and let me tell you, finishing a jar of this powder is an accomplishment, since it's 35 grams! In the winter I do not always use a loose powder after my foundation to set it, because the foundation by itself it's quite matte, I only use a blotting powder for touch ups. But when the weather gets hotter I like to use a setting powder after, and this one is one of the best! It never looks cakey and it's very lightweight, it's not 100% trasparent but you can barely see any color on the skin.

Mac Studio Finish Concealer in NW25
I've used this concealer a lot this month, because it's very practical and easy to use, I don't need a brush to apply it, just my fingers. Also from all the concealers I own right now, besides my Seventeen Ideal Cover, it's the only one that doesn't make me look like a dead person. All the others are very light and they don't look good with my skintone now that is summer. Also it has SPF 25 which is always a plus!

Mac Brule Eyeshadow
I've mentioned before that my HG browbone eyeshadow is Heaven by Too Faced but I got Brule in a pot because it's very practical when I have to travel,  and using only this one for a whole month I noticed how much more natural it looks than Heaven. Yes Heaven brightens up the browbone more but Brule melts with my natural skintone and it looks way more natural. I definitel prefer this one for the summer, because it doesn't look so white.

Sephora Waterproof Jumbo Liner in 06 Copper
Being so lazy with my eye make up these days, I was only using this jumbo liner all over my main lids with Brule on my browbone and just mascara, and that was it, the perfect lazy summer eye look! If you haven't try these Jumbo Liners I suggest you to do it, they have an amazing staying power, I don't have to use an eye primer underneath these babies and they stay on for hours!

Dior Addict Lipstick in 433 Delice
I got this lipstick a few days before I left for London and I didn't have the chance to show it to you guys in a haul post. Dior released a Dior Addict collection in April with the same shades of lipsticks, lipglosses and nail varnishes, Delice was the one that really caught my eye. At first when I went to buy it they were out of stock, the second time I was finally lucky enough to grab one! I love Dior Addict's formula, they're super soft and buttery without being over glossy, in my opinion they are way better than the Revlon Lip Butters. Delice is a peachy coral shade, more on the peachy-orangey side, it's the perfect summer color. If you can still find it and you love these kind of colors, you have to get it! Here's a swatch for you:

Korres LipButter Gloss in Peach
One more lip product that I bought in May but I didn't show it to you in a haul post is one of the new Korres LipButter Glosses, and of course I had to get it in Peach. These butter-glosses have a different texture than the original Korres lip butters, the original ones are waxier. thicker and stay on the lips longer, the gloss ones are more like plain lip glosses, with a watery texture that you have to re-apply more often. I was using Peach quite often in May as a lip gloss because it's very practical. The shade is identical to Mango from the original lip butters, very pigmented and more on the orange side, it's up to you if you prefer it to be more waxy or glossy. Here's a swatch:

Maybelline Express Remover
For some reason I wasn't into this type of nail varnish remover, I know Bourjois and Sephora have similar ones but I found it kind of weird. In a Maybelline event that I attended back in April they gave us this new Express Remover to try it out, this was the first time I've tried something like this and it completely changed my mind, I absolutely adore it! It makes the whole nail varnish removing process so easy and quick, that made me addicted to it.

Non Beauty Favorites

Even though this is my only non beauty related favorite I really had to mention it! Daft Punk's new album "Random Access Memories" finally released in May, and as a Daft Punk fan since the 90's and after waiting for 8 whole years to release a new album, this was something I was really looking forward to happen! It may not be their best album, definitely not better than Discovery which in my opinion is their best one so far, but Random Access Memories has a totally different sound which I quite like. All the songs are influenced by the 70s Disco era, the ones that I love the most are of course "Get Lucky", also "Lose Yourself To Dance" and "Beyond".

So these were my favorites for the month of May. Let me know what were your favorites, and if you've tried any of the products I mentioned. I really want to know!
