It's been such a long time since I've done a monthly favorites post, and that's because I wasn't trying any new products so I didn't have anything new to show you. But the past few months I've tried lots of new beauty products, and some of them are already HGs of mine! Not all the products are new though, some of them are staple HG products that I use all the time, and some are rediscoveries! I promise you there will be more monthly favorites posts this year!
Clarins Instant Concealer
One of the best concealers I've ever tried! It melts into the skin so well, I don't even need a brush to blend it, with just my fingers I can do the job perfectly. It's not drying and that makes ir perfect for under the eyes, I have it in the shade 02 which is a pinky beige shade, it cancels really well the darkness under my eyes, and the best part is that it doesn't look greyish at all.
Mac Glissade Mineralize SkinFinish
Well this one is an oldie but a goodie! This is actually one of my first Mac highlighters which I got back in 2007. Unfortunately is not as pigmented as it looks in the picture, but it adds beautiful pink shimmers on my cheeks. I don't know why I started using it again but I like how subtle it looks on top of any pink blush. You can see a swatch in my highlighter collection post here.
Seventeen Natural Silky Transparent Compact Powder
I got this powder last month because I got tired of the Rimmel Stay Matte, it just doesn't do anything for me and I don't like the rough texture it has. I think this one from Seventeen is way better and the texture is to die for, so smooth and silky, perfect for setting my foundation. It does help with keeping my face matte for a few hours but still it cannot beat the Mac Blot powder which I also really like but the texture is not very smooth, that's why I only keep it for touch ups.
Make Up ForEver Microfinish Powder
Yep I know another powder but this one really suprised me this month! I'm not so much into loose powders, I've only used the Clinique one in the past which is not translucent and it made my foundations look heavy. But this one is the exact opposite, it's very smooth and translucent which makes it perfect to use on top of any foundation, even the heavier ones. When I go through this mini jar I'm definitely going to purchase the full size!
The Body Shop Vanila Brulee Body Butter
My love for The Body Shop's body butters is not big news, I adore them and this one is not an exception. What I love the most with this one is the scent, it has a very warm vanilla scent that doesn't make me sick, and it's very hard to find a vanilla scent that doesn't make me sick. I only wish it wasn't a limited edition scent.
I've been using this lipgloss so much the past few months, I still don't know how there's still product left in the tube! Even though I'm not a huge lipgloss person I absolutely love this one, the shade, the texture ......everything about it is perfect! It's a beautiful neutral medium pink shade with a creamy texture, it makes me look more awake and fresh.
Mac Haute Altitude Lipstick
Right now this is propably the only Mac lipstick I love using, it has almost the same shade with NYX's Beige lipgloss that's why lots of times I pair them together. It's highly pigmented, and lasts for many hours, I only wish it wasn't limited edition because it will be hard to find a good dupe for it.
